alicia bock photography

my friends happen to be exceptionally creative, witty and wise (what. i have great friend juju) because of their input, there is never a dearth of people, things or new ideas to write on. one of the unexpected things that has come of this blog is "new friends": loyal readers who send me really nice emails and share with me their own creations and inspirations. one of these readers is alicia bock. i initially found her on flickr. i wanted to use one of her beautiful photos on my blog, as a 'peace out' posting. i shot her an email. she replied, something like, "why yes,and btw, i read your blog" wow (!) i checked out her etsy shop and found a woman of great talent. alicia shoots these beautiful, ethereal pieces (this reminds me of the inside of a rabbit's ear-in a really good way) as well as seascapes that are patina-ed (made up word) to give this great sea sprayed look: this gal is self taught (she ran with the 'i can totally make that') i have no concept of her process (and, alicia, if you'd like to comment on this please do!) but i love, love, love the end product.aliciabock.com these self portrait, family pics are my favorites of hers: oh, and a few liner notes: you can actually hire alicia to photograph your wedding, your children whatever, if you live in or near lansing, michigan--alicia@aliciabock.com also: check out her flickr site. her family portraits are her best work. her prices are ridiculously low (alicia...please)

Ha! That's pretty funny about the sea urchin. Love Alicia's work - it looks great the way you have it displayed.
