"flesh"? whose flesh? that color description is about as archaic as this phone. I'm guessing you mean a pinky-greige. no thanks. I prefer mine a vivid 70s color.
does it have that awesome ring tone though?

It looks similar to the one in this hilarious 1981 news story about that new fangled "internet": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WCTn4FljUQ Love your blog, btw :)

I meant Crayola's "flesh," so get off me before you get pushed down. Yes, the ring volume is loud or louder, and quite awesome. My sister has the red one. I'm going to knock her out and take it. Maybe you're interested in it?
you've got the clunky part right! there are two phones connected to a landline in my house and for some reason the are BOTH rotary dial (pale yellow desk and avocado green wall mounted). you should have seen my friend laugh at how long it took to dial the number to have a pizza delivered.
I love the bright orange. I remember using these, and as I dialed, I would leave my finger in the appropriate number slot and bring it back around again. Fun!
PS i forgot to mention the face that i was at a party a few weeks ago and some guy was carrying around a phone almost identical to the one pictured, except that it was red. it took me the entire night to realize that it was his CELL PHONE. so, that is always an option, as well. :)
